WILLOW HOTEL, TRELLEBORG

Willow Hotel in Trelleborg is a modern destination hotel where accommodation, restaurants, spa, meetings and events are brought together in one complete experience. With its many floors, guest rooms and suites, three restaurants, rooftop bar, spa and event spaces, the hotel required a flexible technical solution that could support many different environments — from calm background music to full conference and event production and a sports bar.

Effektgruppen was involved in the planning, sales and installation of the hotel’s AV system, creating a complete infrastructure for audio, video, control, signage, room booking and hotel-TV integration across the property. The project took place in the short timespan of seven months, from the first project meeting to the grand opening.

A central part of the installation is a TiGHT AV-over-IP system connecting the restaurants, conference rooms and main event space together. The system includes 10 transmitters and 30 endpoints, making it possible to distribute audio and video signals between different floors and spaces in a flexible and scalable way.

The AV-over-IP solution allows content to be routed where it is needed, whether for presentations, events, meetings or background visual content. This gives the hotel a future-proof system where different areas can work independently or together depending on the type of event or daily operation.

MikroTik network switches create the backbone of the installation, handling the network infrastructure for audio and video inputs and outputs throughout the hotel. All amplifiers are connected using Dante, giving the system a stable and efficient audio network with flexible routing, high sound quality and simplified control.

The entire solution is controlled through a Crestron control system, giving the hotel a reliable and user-friendly platform for managing AV functions in conference rooms, event spaces and public areas. The control system simplifies daily operation for staff and makes it possible to manage sources, volume, displays and room functions from intuitive control interfaces throughout the 10,500 square metre building.

OneDisplay is used as the hotel’s signage and room-booking platform in all public areas. The system supports digital information, wayfinding, event communication and meeting-room booking, helping guests and staff navigate the hotel and stay updated throughout the day.

Effektgruppen also supplied and integrated the Samsung LYNK hotel-TV system. The solution gives Willow Hotel a professional platform for managing in-room TV content, hotel information and guest-facing communication. With Samsung LYNK, the hotel can work with centralised content and device management for its hospitality displays, helping staff maintain a consistent guest experience throughout the property.

The main conference and event hall seats up to 200 guests and is equipped for professional event use. The space includes a line-array sound system, full stage equipment, mixer boards, stage monitors and supporting AV infrastructure, making it suitable for conferences, live presentations, corporate events, entertainment and larger gatherings. The system is designed to give the hotel a flexible event environment where audio, video and stage functions can be adapted to the specific needs of each event.

The audio system from Audac covers a wide range of areas, including restaurants, lounge spaces, spa areas, meeting rooms, circulation areas and event environments. Carefully selected hidden loudspeakers, amplifiers and networked audio components ensure that each space receives the right sound level, coverage and character.

The result is a complete hotel-wide technology installation that supports Willow Hotel’s identity as a modern destination for meetings, food, relaxation and experiences.
