Visby Ishall – jumbotron and arena sound

When Visby Roma Hockey secured promotion to HockeyAllsvenskan on 22 April 2026, a race against time began. The club’s first home game in the league, against Kalmar HC at Visby Ishall, was already scheduled for 23 September. Just 154 days separated promotion from the home opener, and much of the renovation took place during the summer.

A new arena experience

On behalf of Peab, Effektgruppen supplied and installed a new jumbotron and the supporting technology. Our work also covered loudspeakers and the distribution of audio and video throughout the arena. The jumbotron provides a clear display for game information and moving content above the ice, while the sound system reaches the arena audience.

Fast delivery with a long-standing partner

The short schedule demanded close coordination across several areas of expertise. Working with our long-standing partner Peab, we contributed our specialist knowledge of audio, video and arena technology alongside Peab’s expertise in delivering the project. The installation was ready for the historic home opener.
