Rival is more than just a hotel with a restaurant; it’s a culinary treasure trove where every ingredient is carefully chosen to ensure guest satisfaction. With 99 rooms, a bistro with a bar, an art deco-style cocktail bar, a café, and a lounge with seating for 700, owner Benny Andersson and the hotel staff have crafted a vibrant meeting place at Mariatorget in Stockholm. Here, international visitors mingle with local residents, creating an electrifying ambiance where conversations sizzle and flavors abound. It’s a warm, inviting, and personal space for people to connect.

Recognizing the importance of fostering these connections, our mission was to upgrade the sound system in Hotel Rival’s bars and restaurant. Sound plays a crucial role in creating the right atmosphere and setting the mood for social gatherings. Our goal was to design a sound system capable of delivering lively after-work vibes without disturbing neighboring areas. To achieve this, we installed a sound system featuring top-of-the-line products from ElectroVoice and BSS. Additionally, to seamlessly integrate and control all audio zones through a unified user interface, we implemented a control system from Crestron. In the cocktail bar, projectors were also installed to display slideshows during corporate events, all seamlessly integrated into the same system. With user-friendly touchscreens, the hotel staff can efficiently manage both audio and visual technology, ensuring a seamless and flexible experience for all.
